“I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and really enjoyed the “Cine de Oro” theme they’ve incorporated throughout the property. It’s truly unique, creative, and a great homage to Mexico’s Golden Age of cinema—definitely an impressive touch that sets this place apart! Customer service was excellent. Ana, the front desk staff member, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. She allowed us to store our luggage before check-in so we could explore the city while our suite was being prepared—something we really appreciated. The hotel offers free breakfast, which was a nice bonus. The portions weren’t huge, but the food was tasty and definitely satisfying to start the day. We stayed in the suite, which was spacious and comfortable. It came with a king-size bed, a couch, a solid A/C unit that kept the room cool, and a nice, roomy bathroom. That said, not everything was perfect. While we understand the charm of the old-school aesthetic, there are a few details that could use some updating: •The microwave in the suite was very old and dirty inside. •The TV was quite small and mounted high above the bed, making it hard to watch unless you have perfect eyesight. •The couch had visible stains, was sunken in, and creaked loudly when sitting or getting up—it really needs to be replaced. •The bed, although comfortable, had an uneven left side, which caused neck pain. We ended up sleeping horizontally with the uneven side at our feet, which helped a lot. Despite these things, none of them were deal-breakers for us. We still truly enjoyed our stay and would book here again. However, we do believe the hotel should address these issues to maintain the strong reputation they clearly strive for. Overall, I recommend this hotel for its great theme, friendly service, and overall pleasant atmosphere. Just keep in mind that room quality may vary, so your experience might be different.”
“Great hotel rooms and delicious complimentary breakfast. The theme is beautiful. Definitely recommend.”
“We are bike packing in Mexico and needed a place to stay for the night. The owner was so kind to give us a large ground floor room for the price of a cheaper room! It was wonderful. Best hotel we’ve been in on this trip. I highly recommend this hotel! Wet friendly staff and great food.”
“Excellent place very nice everything, very clean the attention I liked the dishes are exquisite and a lot of attention”
“Went there for food multiple times, so I can't really talk about the hotel as a whole. The restaurant however, is just amazing. The food is delicious, the prices are affordable but what really stands out is the incredible interior design of the place. From the moment you enter the incredible attention to detail provides an unforgettable experience. Sitting in the spacious area by the pool while the sun shines makes all your problems go away for a second and allows you to just enjoy the beauty of life”
“Great hotel with helpful, welcoming staff, comfortable beds, air conditioning, hot water, and a good on-site restaurant. Highly recommend staying here in Ixtepec.”
